District Immunization Officer Dr. Rajesh Bhajgawali said that 94 percent of the children in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been given the first and 72 percent of the second dose in the district. Similarly, in the age group of 15 to 17 years, 96 percent got the first dose and 87 percent got the second dose. In the age group above 18 years, 8 lakh 15 thousand 958 people have been given the first dose with 113 percent more than the target.

At the same time, 7 lakh 99 thousand 147 have got second dose with 98 percent. Whereas with only 3 lakh 94 thousand 590, only 63 percent people have been given the third dose booster. He said that the vaccine is not available in the district since December 30.

200 oxygen beds in medical college

Medical College Hospital Management says that there is a 15-bed isolation ward in the hospital, in which not a single patient is admitted. This ward is equipped with oxygen facility. Apart from this, there is also 200 oxygen beds, ICU of 30 beds. General patients are being admitted in the remaining wards except the isolation ward. Superintendent Dr. RC Arya told that patients will be admitted in the isolation ward when the case comes. If required, apart from the oxygen beds of 200 beds, the ICU will be immediately evacuated. He told that preparations for this have already been done. There are four oxygen plants in the hospital which are in working condition.

Medicines being written directly in the prescription without checking the symptoms

Amidst the ups and downs of the weather, the number of patients with symptoms like cold, cough, fever is increasing. Medicines are being prescribed directly to most of such patients in hospitals without sample test. Many patients are taking medicines even after buying them directly from the shops. During the third wave of Corona, apart from all the government hospitals in the district, samples were also being taken in private hospitals. At present, samples are being taken only in the Medical College and investigations are being done. Please inform that a woman died in Bilaspur on Saturday. The corona test of the woman took place when she was breathing her last.
